Smallest Town in Indiana

My friends and I were sitting in the lab and began to look up cities in Indiana on Wikipedia. We then discovered a town by the name of Boston, Indiana which had a population of 133 according to the 2000 census. I then gave the proposition that we should have a “game” to find the smallest town in Indiana according to wikipedia. A few minutes later I came accross a motorcycle blog where the rider came across “The Smallest Town in Indiana’. The name of the town is New Amsterdam, IN and is located along southern Indiana along the Ohio river. New Amsterdam is reported to have a population of 1 according to the 2000 US Census Bureau. The town apparently does not have a Post Office and all of the mail gets sent to a nearby town called “Mauckport, IN” and someone there drives it to New Amsterdam. Well when the Census came around, the driver never dropped off the Census Forms. A lady that lived in the town called and said that she lived there. So in the Census report it only reports 1 person living in the town. Rumor also has it that there are more people that live in the town. I think I might take a trip to this town someday to check it out. I will be sure to take a camera with me if I go :)

ROADTRIP!!! we need to get a wiki-list of towns/locations/etc that don’t have any pictures on wiki and are around our area and go for a saturday photoshoot. That’d be GREAT!
