My First Day At “The Tire Rack”
Well, I just got home a few minutes ago from work. The first time ever that I’m dressed nicely enough (coming home from work) that I’m afraid to roll around in the grass with Mozart. Work was good, and the day went by rather quickly. I ate lunch at my desk and didn’t take a lunch, which is what most of the programming team does everyday. I snuck in the employee door today and waited for Bill Pratt to come and show me where I would be sitting at everyday. I wasn’t sure what to do until 8am (I got there at 7am) since Chris doesn’t come in until 8am and she is the one that is training me. Well after a few hours of setting my computer up (I have dual displays!) my machine ended up breaking and I had to get a new one. The mother ended up being bad and one of our ITs, Jeremy, gave me a new box. All in all the day was good. I enjoy dressing up to go to work and having to iron my shirt and pants before putting them on. I wonder if this will get old, it probably will. I have done so many different jobs in the past and I’m excited to do something different. The only downside to this job is having to sit down all day, which I hope won’t cause me to become obese. And I am inside all day long so I have no idea what is going on outside. Hell a tornado could rip up half of South Bend, and I wouldn’t even know it. I realized this as I’m walking out the front door and I’m looking out the window and thought to myself “It’s cloudy outside?!” which was a shock to me. I then realized that I had been inside all day which is a change compared to my other job where I was in the elements for my work day. Well, I’m excited for what tomorrow is going to bring. Thanks for reading! PS: Oh yeah I’m going to try and see “BORAT” with my brother Justin. He is the person that introduced me to the comical politician.
I heard it’s a good movie!
