Play Zombies in Halo 3 Ranked Playlist tomorrow!

Hell yeah! The infection Game type will be in the ranked playlist tomorrow! I have played this as custom gametype before, and it was a lot of fun. The only bad this is the game is over really quick, unless you can get your other teammates to hole up somewhere and defend. You can also get some pretty cool medals tomorrow that are only available in this game type. Read more on Bungie.net

“To celebrate the gustatory tendencies of the walking dead and to acknowledge All Hallows Eve, we’re launching a spooktacular, eerie-otic and cryptmongous playlist for 27 horror-filled hours, starting on October 31st at 12:01am and ending at 3:00am on November 1st—It is infection and it is the playlist of the Living Dead.” -Bungie

Problems With Marathon Man Achievement Halo 3

So I have been playing H3 With the Wife and my buddy Bill, and trying to get the Marathon Man Achievement by accessing all of the terminals located in the campaign mode. First off to access the terminals all three of us Would have to be near the terminal to activate it, Which We already understood. We got to the final level, and got the final terminal and activated it, reading through every page and Waiting 10 seconds., going past the red blinky screen and reading the final pages. Nothing happened, no achievement! So What happened? We thought maybe We missed one, so We Went back and did them all again, and again nothing happened. Were We not going through all of the pages? Well, I researched on the Web and found others having the same issue, people Were saying to hit them all in order and to complete each level that have the terminals in at least Normal hardness. This is all complete BS, here is the secret. Everyone in your party has to activate the terminal and read ALL of the pages. Be sure to wait for the red blinky screen and read the following few pages to the very end. You do not have to view them in order, nor do you have to complete the level after accessing one. There is no particular level of hardness you have to play campaign to get the achievement as you do with the skulls. The easiest way to get the achievement is to play single player, so you don’t have to wait for everyone in your party to view the terminal, and play in easy mode. Be sure after viewing the last terminal in each level, to save and quit. Don’t worry so much about getting terminal 8, as it doesn’t count towards the achievement.

Halo 3 Hype

Well, Halo 3 has been released as many of you already know and had $170 Million in sales in the first day. Halo was a big hit when it first came out, and Bungie has only proved their reputation with the release of the 3rd part of the Halo Series. And I don’t think it will be the last release of Halo, as it’s a huge cash cow for Microsoft. The 2nd release was pretty hyped up, but it seems that everyone was trying to make money off of this release of Halo. Mountain Dew/Pepsi even has what they call “Halo 3 Game Fuel”. Microsoft has created a plethora of Xbox 360 accessories revolving around Halo 3, including but not limited to Halo 3 branded controllers, Halo 3 Zune, Legendary Edition Halo 3 Game, Halo 3 headset, and even a Halo 3 accessory case to hold all of this. With all of this Halo 3 Hype, it’s hard not to get wrapped up in it by whipping out your credit card and start a collection of Halo 3 stuff if you are a Halo fan. I wonder if I can buy Halo 3 underwear?

Interesting CS Tweak

I came across an interesting cvar modification for Counter-Strike: Source to allow you to force which player models are displayed for both the Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists on your Source client. The cl_min_t & cl_min_ct cvars can be set to a value ranging from 1 to 4, denoting which of the four skin/model types are displayed for all the players on each team. To enable this feature, you need to change the cl_minmodels cvar to 1. This will cause your client to display all the players on the T and CT teams using whatever values you set for them. Personally, I’d recommend 3 for cl_min_t as the white winter outfit will stand out on any map, and 2 for cl_min_ct as the glowing faceplate is easiest to see in low-light areas. Now you’re enemies can run, but they can’t hide.
